Step 2: Create and Set Up Your Blog
When you’ve finished login into Blogger. You’ll see a welcome screen with a ‘Create New Blog’ button, which you should click.

Put the name of your blog in the title field.

Type the desired domain name (use a short domain name) in the address box; if the domain name you entered is already used, you’ll see a notification just below or near the address box. In this situation, type a domain name that is comparable. The address is the public’s way of finding your blog on the internet.
http://www.xyz.com is the standard syntax of the web address.
Pro Tip: Use a domain name that is unique, catchy, and short.
After you’ve submitted your blog’s title and address, it’s time to pick a template. You have a variety of templates to select from; go through them all and pick the one that best matches your site.

What Comes After You’ve Set Up a Blog on Blogspot
Without a doubt! Content is King. However, there are other factors that influence your blog’s ranking and ability to attract more visitors. So, when you’ve created your free BlogSpot blog, here are some crucial factors to consider.
If you want to see positive returns from your website, you’ll need to increase your AdSense revenue. More visitors could create more revenue in an organic way. The more organic traffic your site receives, the more clicks you’ll receive, which will result in more AdSense revenue.
It used to be very easy to rank #1 on Google, but it is now extremely difficult, although still achievable. To get better results, you’ll need to understand some powerful SEO techniques. Start implementing SEO tactics when you’ve learned them to help you increase organic search engine traffic.
If you’re a beginner with little knowledge of SEO, I recommend that you concentrate on producing high-quality content that is also search engine friendly. I’ll go over a few suggestions that will assist you in writing SEO-friendly blog content and increasing organic traffic to your Blogspot blog.
Increase the number of internal links – When writing a new blog post, remember to include links to old blog posts. This will help to improve search crawlability and, as a result, your blog’s exposure in search engines.
Keep the title of your blog post short – Write short headlines for your blog posts if possible. The title with the most characters (65 characters) is proven to be the most effective. Because blog titles longer than 70 characters don’t appear in search results, make sure to craft a title that is short, effective, and memorable.
Focus on readers rather than search engines – Write content that is easy to read, not content that is annoying. Don’t use the same keyword over and over because it has two drawbacks. First, this could irritate the reader while they are reading the blog posts. Second, your blog could get penalized for doing so in the scenario of keyword stuffing.
Use SEO-optimized content – Google prioritizes websites that load quickly. Because the speed of your blog is so important, include optimized content in your blog entries. Don’t include elements that are large in size. Verify that your blog post or page is mobile-friendly.
Some Pro SEO Tips for Blogs on Blogspot
Let’s look at some more effective SEO techniques now that you’ve learned a little about creating blog content. I promise that these SEO techniques will definitely increase your organic traffic from search engines.
Focus on On-Page SEO: In order to achieve great SEO results, you must address On-Page SEO. Make sure your on-page SEO is up to the standard. On-page SEO is influenced by the following factors:
- Primary keywords in the title tag, image alt tag – Include primary keywords in the title tag and image alt tag of your blog.
- Internal Links – Include as many internal links as possible in your blog content.
- Headers and subheadings in the body text, such as h2, h3, h4,… – Use h2, h3, headings appropriately in your blog article.
- Meta Description and Length – Go for a meta description of roughly 160 characters that grab the reader’s attention.
- Slug length – Maintain a short slug length.
- Blog post length (number of words in an article) – A blog post with a minimum of 2000 words performs better.
- The length and density of the primary keyword – Long-tail keywords are less competitive and hence easier to rank, and the density of the primary keyword should be between 0.5 and 2.5 %.
Focus on Keywords: Prior to writing, always conduct keyword research using tools such as Semrush. It will tell you the phrase’s volume, difficulty, and an overview of the keyword. As a result, you’ll be able to determine the ideal keyword(s) for your topic that will help you rank higher in search engine results.
What happens in most cases? Short tail keywords like ‘Blog,’ ‘FREE blog,’ ‘Earn Money,’ and so on are competitive and difficult to rank for. As a result, make sure to pick long-tail keywords that will help you rank, as they are less competitive. “How to make a FREE blog,” “How to create a blog on Blogger,” “How to make a free blog and make money,” and so on are examples of long-tail keywords.
Acquire high-quality backlinks: Google prioritizes blog entries with the highest number of backlinks. As a result, if you have more backlinks, your blog is more likely to receive organic visitors.
Use effective and innovative tactics like the Skyscraper technique, link building, and so on to create high-quality backlinks. As a beginner, you may find it difficult to implement these strategies efficiently. But at least give them a try.
If you’re a talented writer, you should offer to create relevant guest posts for others in exchange for a natural, high-quality backlink.
Avoid copying and pasting: Most beginners start by writing content that they either stole from another blog(s) or that matches the content of other blog articles. This form of content is considered duplicate content, but Google is so smart that it can actually figure out if you’re doing it.
If Google discovers that you are using duplicate content, you might well be penalized. Google is known to penalize sites for copy-pasting content from other existing websites. Avoid making mistakes by conducting your own analysis. Focus on creating a fantastic, unique, and informative piece of content.
Optimize images for search engines: Have you heard of the phrase, “A picture is worth a thousand words?” These are really wise words.
This is something I’ve actually experienced. I used to create creepy blogs when I was first starting out (lol). My blogs consist solely of headings and plain text, with no graphics, highlighting, italic text, or anything else. When I look at them now, I find them to be really dull and uninteresting.
If your post isn’t engaging, why should anyone bother to read it? Images add interest to a blog post. The fantastic thing is that pictures not only make your content more meaningful but also help your site rank higher and attract more visitors. As a result, include engaging and relevant graphics in your article to increase visitors to your site.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when working with images (s). Only choose images that aren’t copyrighted; otherwise, you’ll end up with random images from the ‘Google image search’ results. It could have an impact on your AdSense approval.
Before you put an image in between the content, make sure it’s optimized. For this, choose a clear image that is tiny in size and has the right dimensions.
Here are some online graphic designing platforms sources where you can use images freely, or you can design your own graphics too –

If you write at least 20 posts per month on average from the first day of your blog, you should have 100 articles on your blog within 5 months, and if all of your articles are well optimized and search engine friendly, you should have at least 500 visitors per day. And, this is a good number to start your journey.
